Inviting Members

You can invite anyone to join your A vs B organization by email. Invited members receive a link to either create a new A vs B account or log in with an existing one — either way, they are added to your org automatically.

Step-by-step

Open the Members tab

Click Settings in the bottom of the left sidebar, then click the Members tab at the top of the Settings page.

Click Invite

Click the Invite button in the top-right corner of the Members tab. A dialog box will appear.

Enter email addresses

Type the email addresses of the people you want to invite. You can enter up to 20 addresses at once, separated by commas or by pressing Enter after each one. If you are inviting a large group, paste a comma-separated list.

Select a role

Choose the role each invited member will receive when they join. The default is Viewer. You can select any role available in your organization — including custom roles. All addresses entered in a single invitation receive the same role. To invite people with different roles, send separate invitations.

Send invitations

Click Send Invitations. A vs B will send an email to each address immediately. The invited addresses appear in the Pending Invitations section of the Members tab until each person accepts.

New users vs. existing users

A vs B handles the two cases differently:

  • New users (no A vs B account yet) — the invitation email contains a signup link with a unique token. When the person clicks it, they land on the signup page with their email pre-filled. After they complete registration and verify their email, they are automatically added to your organization with the role you selected.
  • Existing users (already have an A vs B account) — the invitation email contains a direct join link. When they click it and log in (if not already), they are immediately added to your organization. No separate signup step is needed.
Invitations expire after 48 hours
For security reasons, invitation links are only valid for 48 hours after they are sent. If a recipient misses the deadline, you can resend the invitation from the Pending Invitations section — see below.

Pending invitations

Invitations that have been sent but not yet accepted appear in the Pending Invitations section at the bottom of the Members tab. For each pending invitation you can see the email address, the role assigned, when it was sent, and when it expires.

Revoking a pending invitation

If you sent an invitation by mistake or want to cancel it before the recipient accepts:

  1. Go to Settings → Members and scroll to the Pending Invitations section.
  2. Find the invitation you want to cancel and click the Revoke button next to it.
  3. The invitation link is immediately invalidated. If the recipient tries to use it after revocation, they will see an error message.

Resending an invitation

If an invitation has expired or the email was not received, click Resend next to the invitation in the Pending Invitations section. A new email with a fresh 48-hour link will be sent immediately.

Check your spam folder
Invitation emails are sent from noreply@avsb.cloud. If an invitee says they did not receive it, ask them to check their spam or junk folder before resending.
