Billing
The Billing tab gives you a complete view of your subscription plan, current usage, and payment details. Only the Owner and Admin roles can access Billing.
Accessing the Billing tab
Click Settings in the left sidebar, then click the Billing tab at the top of the Settings page.
Current plan
At the top of the Billing tab you will see your current plan name, the billing cycle (monthly or annual), the next renewal date, and the amount that will be charged on renewal. If you are on a free or trial plan, this section shows when the trial ends and what happens afterwards.
Usage overview
The usage overview shows how much of your plan's allowances you are currently consuming. The metrics tracked include:
- Active experiments— the number of experiments currently running against your plan's experiment limit.
- Projects— the number of projects in your organization against your plan's project limit.
- Team members— the number of active members (excluding pending invitations) against your plan's seat limit.
Each metric is shown as a progress bar so you can see at a glance how close you are to a limit. If you approach a limit, A vs B will show a warning so you have time to upgrade before being blocked.
Upgrading or downgrading your plan
To change your plan, click the Change Plan or Upgrade button on the Billing tab. A plan comparison screen will appear showing the features and limits of each available plan.
- Upgrading — takes effect immediately. You are charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing period, then the full new plan price on the next renewal date. Higher limits are available immediately after upgrading.
- Downgrading— takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep your current plan's features and limits until renewal, then the new lower plan activates. If your current usage exceeds the new plan's limits, you will need to reduce usage before the downgrade takes effect to avoid disruption.
Payment methods
Adding a credit card
Click Add payment methodin the Payment Methods section. A secure form will appear where you can enter your card number, expiration date, and CVC. A vs B uses a PCI-compliant payment processor — your card details are never stored on A vs B's servers.
You can add multiple cards. The card marked as Default is the one charged on renewal. To change the default card, click Set as default next to any card in the list.
Updating billing information
To update the billing name, company name, address, or VAT number shown on invoices, click Edit billing information in the Billing Information section. Fill in the updated details and click Save. Updated billing information appears on the next invoice generated.
Removing a card
Click the Remove button next to any card that is not set as the default. You cannot remove the default card while you have an active paid subscription — set a different card as the default first.
Invoice history
The Invoice History section lists all past invoices in reverse chronological order. Each row shows the invoice date, the amount charged, the plan it covered, and the payment status (Paid, Failed, or Pending).
Click the Downloadbutton next to any invoice to download a PDF copy. Invoices include your organization's billing information, the plan details, and line items for any prorations.
