Managing Members
The Members tab gives you a full view of everyone in your organization — active members and pending invitations. From here you can change roles, remove members, and manage invitations that have not yet been accepted.
Accessing the Members tab
Click Settings in the left sidebar, then click the Members tab at the top of the Settings page.
The member list
The member list shows all active members of your organization. Each row displays the member's name, email address, their current role, and the date they joined. If your organization has many members, the list is paginated — use the page controls at the bottom to navigate between pages.
You can search the member list by name or email address using the search field above the list. This is useful in larger organizations when you need to find a specific person quickly.
Changing a member's role
To change the role of an existing member:
- Find the member in the list. You can use the search field if needed.
- Click the role badge or the Edit button next to their name. A role selector will appear.
- Choose a new role from the dropdown. The list includes all five built-in roles and any custom roles your organization has created.
- Click Save. The change takes effect immediately — the member's permissions update without requiring them to log out and back in.
Removing a member
To remove a member from your organization:
- Find the member in the list.
- Click the Remove button (or the three-dot menu and then Remove member).
- A confirmation dialog will appear. Confirm that you want to remove the member.
Removal takes effect immediately. The member loses access to the organization and all its projects the moment you confirm. They will not receive a notification by default. Any experiments or projects they created remain in the organization — removing a member does not delete their work.
Viewing pending invitations
The Pending Invitations section appears below the active member list. It shows all invitations that have been sent but not yet accepted. For each pending invitation you can see:
- The email address the invitation was sent to
- The role the member will receive when they accept
- When the invitation was sent
- When the invitation expires (48 hours after sending)
Resending an invitation
If an invitation has expired or the email was not received, click Resend next to the invitation. A new 48-hour invitation email is sent immediately. The old link is invalidated.
Revoking a pending invitation
To cancel an invitation before it is accepted, click Revoke next to the invitation in the Pending Invitations section. The invitation link is invalidated immediately. If the recipient tries to use the link after revocation, they will see an error message explaining that the invitation is no longer valid.
